Hi every body,

I don't know if I am in the right thread but I really need a quick answer:

On the DLC connector of my Cuore L251, when I put a shunt between the 5th pin in the top and the 5th pin in the bottom (just as shown on the label on the hood) I got the EPS indicator blinking as follows:

5..7......5..7......5..7..... etc

I wonder what means this code?

Thanks for your help.

any idea please?

Rokko 21.06.2014 17:31

I know it's a stupid question, but are you really sure it's DTC 57 ?
I'm asking because I can't find that code in my L251 service manual...

My Cuore is L251, but EJ-DE engine.

As shown in the picture attached, taken from my hood, with a link between 5th and 13th pins, I was able to see the EPS blinking as described above: 5 times, short blank, 7 times, long blank, etc.

The bridge shown on your photograph is the one to check ignition timing. To read out error codes, it is a different one.

Lets see, if I manage to find the Topic... give me some time for a trial please. If I manage to get it, I'll post the link.

I Searched now for some time, and I found out, that your photograph shows the right pins to bridge to get the error messages via MIL.

http://www.daihatsu-forum.de/vbullet...-DE+Fehlercode

In post #4 of the above link is the same problem mentioned as you described. Instead of the MIL, it was the EPS light blinking.

Reisschüsselfahrer states there, that he then tried the pin besides that before an it worked. He wrote, that he just confused the pin-order... At your own risk then...

The how-to here: http://www.daihatsu-forum.de/vbullet...t=16952&page=2 in post #13 is confirmed working, but the examples I found to confirm it working were all of EJ-VE vehicles.
