that sounds not so unnormal for a cold 3-cylindered Engine to me. At least not, if the engine Oil is of a rather high viscosity. If you want an Engine to perform a Cold start within a Second, then get a for-cylinder.


Even when they come directly from the factory, these three-cylinders need a bit more time for a cold start than most of the four-cylinders.
I can't tell why, but I had a new cuore and an almost new Citroën C1, and both of those three-cilindered engines needed a Second or two longer to start than most other cars, which then were four-cylinders.
